$45 / camper Ages 9-17 Tents & food provided 3pm Saturday June 8th - 10am Sunday June 9th (parents that need to pick up earlier on Sunday for church are welcome to do so)
Campers will use their hands, their brains and their hearts as they sweat their way to becoming powerful leaders through a dynamic combination of group construction project, horsemanship and games. Though this camp out doesn’t solely focus on horsemanship, it is an irreplaceable tool with which to teach leadership skills - learning to control a 1000 lb horse silently, using only your clear body language and intent has powerful implications in everyday life. Students become better leaders by learning how to control their space, set rules, boundaries and limitations, and communicate clearly.
We will tackle a group construction project (or a few), where students will use basic power tools to build something for the greater good of all the students and/or animals. These projects teach not only team working skills, hands on life skills, but also instill a sense of gratification that can only come from hard, physical work, that also required creativity and ingenuity.
When the work is done, campers can cool off in the swimming pool, play games and simply hang out by the camp fire. Tents and food are provided. Campers simply need to bring pillows, sleeping bags, swim suits and whatever other camping gear they like.

Three days of learning natural horsemanship, playing games, bareback riding, swimming, playing in the tree house, running amok and befriending horses, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs and other kids! This is truly an all ages summer day camp - whether your camper is 5 years old or 17, they will have a blast here at Horse Sense.
Campers need to dress prepared to get dirty. True horsemanship is dirty, sweaty, hard work. Shorts & tennis shoes are welcome. Bring your swim suit & towel to cool off mid-day. Bring a sack lunch every day. Snacks and drinks are provided. Cell phones are collected at the start of the day to allow kids to get back to being connected to nature and each other.
